Vladimir Borodin
1940-2021
known for his work as a painter with a unique recognizable style – symbolic and romantic realism.
Born in Ukraine in 1941, moved to Kishinev, Moldova, where he later finished Art School, majoring in painting and drawing graduated (1976) from the St. Petersburg Academy of Art and Design.
Vladimir Borodin is distinguished within international artistic circles as a master of composition, as well as for his unusual color schemes which give precise expression to the emotional and spiritual idea of every painting. Principal themes of Borodin's works include ballet, music (including performers past and present), the philosophical, and impressionistic landscapes. His chief distinction is a domination of color above form, emotions above order, a whirlwind above rest and peace.
Vladimir Borodin's works decorate the mansion-houses of Mikhail Gorbachev and Former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, among others, as well as being found in a great many private collections like Armand Hammer, galleries, and museums around the world (including in Russia, Germany, France, Holland, Italy, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, USA, Israel, and South Korea).
